You might be surprised that it is fairly common to feel "crazy," "stuck," or "broken" at times, but what is so neat about therapy is that you will come to learn that this is part of a very adaptive and healthy internal signaling system calling you to action. Change can be scary. Therapy can seem daunting. I am here to help you see how both will help you feel more alive, free, and true to yourself. 

Through counseling, you will feel accepted for who you are and in time will gain a better understanding of where you came from and where you currently are. You will better be able to consciously choose how you want to live in the present and what you would like the rest of your unique story to be. You will come to find how many strengths, assets, and resources you already have and will be provided additional tools to make life feel more possible and maybe even exciting. 

I love my job as I get to work with amazing people like you. Although being human is hard, it can also be beautiful and rewarding.

My Approach

Research continues to show that we are built for connection and that health and wellness come when we are connected to who we are, those we love, and who we are born to be. Many things in life create disconnection (trauma, busy lifestyles, distractions, trying to fit in, etc.). Through an integrated, trauma-informed, and attachment-based, (including interpersonal relational neurobiology,) approach, our work together will include you gaining awareness of your strengths, your challenges, your story, your emotions, and your dreams. Utilizing compassion, curiosity, and encouragement, connective experiences and relationships will follow, allowing you to move forward in life with more confidence, resonance, and peace.

Great Books for All You DIY Healers

I love reading and learning, and for all of you who love reading (or audiobooks) here are some of my favorites that are great for understanding and healing trauma, relationships, or yourself. Great to use in conjunction with therapy or alone if you are not ready for therapy yet. Many of these books contain exercises that allow you to work through things on your own or bring them up in therapy to provide deeper therapeutic value. Get ready to feel seen, learn how amazing your brain and body are, (& how both are built with hope and growth in mind,) as well as create amazing relationships with yourself and those you love.
